How we verify installers
The £9,000 grant only works if the installer is genuinely certified, because only MCS-certified firms can claim the voucher for you. Verification is the whole point of our service, so here is exactly what we check, and when.
MCS certification, checked at source
We look up every installer on the official MCS register and confirm the certification is active, covers air source heat pumps, and matches the trading business. We record the certification number, the certifying body (NAPIT, NICEIC, APHC and others), and the date we checked. If a firm is not on the register, they do not get matched, whatever their website says.
Track record, not testimonials
We review each firm's public review history and only work with established installers with strong, consistent ratings. We also check that heat pumps are genuinely part of their trade, not a bolt-on claim.
Insurance and coverage confirmed at onboarding
Before a firm receives introductions we confirm appropriate insurance for the work and agree exactly which postcodes they cover, so you are never matched with someone who will not travel to you.
Ongoing re-checks
Certification lapses, insurance expires, standards slip. We re-check the register, track expiry dates, and monitor homeowner feedback on every introduction. A firm that stops meeting the bar stops receiving matches.
What this means for you
When we match you with an installer, the certification that unlocks your grant has already been checked at source, on a recorded date. You get one introduction, not a call list, and we phone you first so you always know who is calling and why.
The current network
Verified installers in our Devon launch network. Founding partner names appear as partnerships are formalised; every card below is a real firm whose certification we have checked at source.
